Andrea here.
For those of you who know me well (or even at all) you will likely have become aware of my love of clothing at one point or another (fourth year walk in closet….how I miss thee). You might also be aware of my complete inability to pack “light” (anyone who has ever taken a trip with me). When I go anywhere, even for a weekend, I like to bring a variety of clothing that will suit any number of situations and meet a plethora of “bad” self-image days.
So, I ask you, how the hell does one pack for 5 weeks in a CAR? Especially when I have to consider the fact that some portions of the trip are spent in places where I will care how I look, while at other times it’ll probably be whatever keeps me warm (or cool), or, quite frankly is just clean. It’s nearly impossible. As the picture illustrates, my efforts to cull what I “want” to bring have been, well a failure. None of the pictured items include ANYTHING essential, like tents, raincoats, shoes toiletries etc.
Just clothes. And I’ve been through those stacks four times now, weeding out things I *think* I can part with.
Lord I’m in trouble.
