Is it too late to turn back?
The final countdown has begun — even for me (Dancy that is), and I am the lone straggler. I will not be exploring the climes of London or Amsterdam, but instead will be working a rather boring office job until July 20th, whereupon I will finally be whisked away to Glasgow. (First I have to get through Iceland. And Denmark. But that’s another story.)
We have finally procured car insurance for our Canadian selves, courtesy of the great Herts/HIC Walkabout Insurance. Google it, foreign teams! And a big thanks to a customer rep whose name I don’t remember. We had a hard time understanding each other, he and I. Never knew English could be such a language barrier. We better work on that before we get to Russia.
Despite many bumps (the visa issues described below seem to be yearly rites of passage for teams) things are finally pulling together and the long road to Mongolia is coming into focus.
See you all the start line!
PS. We still need a name for the steed. I think she’s a she. Any suggestions?
